For those who have asked about my status or how I'm doing, thanks for your thoughtful consideration.  My dad was diagnosed with lung cancer two months ago and there are lesions on his liver and throughout his brain.  To say the least, the last two months have been unrelenting and overwhelming for me and my brother as caregivers. Thankfully my Avengers original art, as seen in the previous article here, sold and assisted my family since the caregiving for both of my parents (my mom's disabled) has been all-consuming time-wise, making getting to my commissions, and income, difficult. However, things have been slowly progressing since his chemo treatments and I am gradually returning to a normal schedule (whatever THAT means to a freelancer;-)) and I am accepting commissions but please understand that turnaround will be slower than usual and it's best to email me to see what my status is at that time.

In the meantime, with the holiday of Thanksgiving still fresh in mind, I wanted to give thanks to a great 2011 up until recently.  It was a year of considerable assignments and a multitude of commissions which is especially exhilarating to this comic book artist vet who's approaching his 20th year in the biz as of January 4th (incidentally, my birthday as well).  Hopefully a couple of gigs I've been patiently waiting for will take off soon in '12 as well as a possible teaching opportunity.   I wish all of my fans and supporters the best of holidays and a happiest of New Years.  Thanks kindly for your visits to my modest website and I will always do my best to keep things updated and fresh here.  See you on the other side, my friends!

I NEED CASH! Print E-mail

This AVENGERS#162 (1977) original art by George Perez and Pablo Marcos is for sale on eBay is from my own collection....with the exception of a couple of years when a close friend held the piece for me, I've been the sole owner of this published art for the last 15+ years. This is obviously a classic sequence for Avenger fans and I didn't make this decision to sell lightly. I'm having some serious financial issues right now with the family and I hate parting with this page but I gots to do what I gots to do. Thanks much for looking.

I must pull out of the Southcoast Toy & Comic Show on November 6 as previously announced due to a family crisis.  I spoke to co-promoter Mark Gomes last night who completely understands.  My sincere apologies for those who were looking forward to seeing me.

I was invited to return to the Southcoast Toy & Comics Show in Fairhaven, MA for the third time.  It's on Sunday November 6 from 10-4 and will be my first show since June's Heroes Con as I've been very busy and purposely took myself off the tour circuit. I will have all of my usual merchandise for sale including discounted Heroes for Hire original art and a new Daredevil color print as well as Inkwell Awards stuff (hopefully, the debut of the 1st Sinnott Inking Challenge Gellery book).  If you're in the Bristol County region I hope to see you there!

Fall brings auctions to the forefront for both myself and my non-profit.  Bob Shaw at Comic Art House has been running my Star Trek: The Last Generation pages penciled by Gordon Purcell for the last 2-3 weeks starting at $19.95 on his CAH eBay page and The Inkwell Awards starting running donations last week and this week is a stunner of various merchandise items on their page generously offered by many notable artists within the community!  So bookmark the pages and check regularly and maybe you'll be able to hook yourself up with great deals!

I lost much of the recent spring and summer seasons starting with wrapping up the 2011 Inkwell Awards and working on the four Heroes for Hire issues for Marvel, now completed (I'm still feeling the all-nighter I pulled Wednesday/Thursday to close the door on this gig).  The Spider-Island one-shot has a multitude of hero guest stars as well as many old and obscure Marvel foes to identify in all of the chaos sweeping through Manhatten....lots of fun!  Regrettably, I previously hinted at a project that Kyle and I were doing together following this job, but that 5-issue limited series subsequently slipped through my fingers (I can't announce what it was yet as Marvel hasn't announced it yet), with Kyle being handed another ink artist.  But I have been in contact with a few folks about follow-up work, like 3-4 leads, some of which look likely to take off (plus, thankfully, more Kyle work when he's done with that mystery series), so I will hopefully be assignment-bound before long, perhaps even reunited with my longtime partner Sal Velluto!  In the meantime, I will relax and look after my health and attempt to lose some added weight.  And spend some quality time with the family.  And catch up on several late commissions for some very patient clients.  And finally get back to my Inkwell Awards for the 2012 season.  The occasional interim breaks prove essential for my mental and physical health....but hopefully the break won't turn out to be for too long.  Of course, I'll keep y'all posted here, friends!
