"COMMON ELEMENTS": VALKYRIE AND VALKYRIE BY VAL SEMEIKS: Commission

This was another piece I was eyeing in Michael Rankins CAF gallery for some time. My 9th "Common Elements"-themed for Michael, this one was my first attempt the Golden-age Hillman Periodicals version of Valkyrie, a 'frenemy' of Airboy three decades before the Marvel version of the character appeared, whom I've inked now three times, all for Michael. My 45th overall commission for him and my 9th go at Val, I inked this 11X17 art on 2-ply board with my usual inky doodads plus some greywash, drybrush, and finger smudging. It was completed on 10/26/11.
