another commission in '99
I've done a handful of animated-style
inking so imagine my anxiety when, in
'99/'00, I was hired to ink and color over
legendary animator Bob Singer! I asked
the buyer to consider the option of me
inking the art over vellum so as to save
the original pencils but they were set
in seeing me work over the original.
I used grey watercolor pencils to
simulate the various graphite tones in
the drawing and a blue w.c. pencil to
match the blue shading he rendered
for the lighting.
